Description

The Textual Geographies derived dataset is a dataset made available to HTRC users that is based on Dr. Matthew Wilkens’ Textual Geographies project. The dataset contains volume metadata as well as geographical locations and the number of times the location is mentioned in the text of works of fiction written in English from 1701 - 2011  that are found in the HathiTrust Digital Library. The derived dataset also includes using Google Colab notebooks (Google’s version of Jupyter notebooks) to search the dataset as well as a use case example in Colab.
